NutriSnap is a personal food and nutrition tracker. We do not run any server and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Everything you log stays on your device. AI food recognition runs through your own third-party AI account (you provide the API key).

The app stores the following locally on your device only, and never transmits it to us:
We have no access to this data. Removing an entry, or uninstalling the app, deletes it.
When you use photo or text recognition, the app sends the relevant food photo or text description directly from your device to the AI provider you selected — ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), or DeepSeek — authenticated with the API key you entered. This request does not pass through any server of ours. The selected provider processes the content under its own privacy policy:
You are in control: the first time you send data to a given provider, the app shows a confirmation explaining what will be sent and to whom, and nothing is transmitted unless you agree. The app does not retain a copy of the photo on any server; the photo remains on your device unless you choose to send it for recognition. Manual entry works fully without any AI service.
Your AI provider API key is stored only on your device and is sent only to that provider to authenticate your own requests. It is never sent to us and never shared with anyone else.
Permissions are used only for these purposes and only when you trigger the related feature.
We do not collect analytics, we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs, we do not require an account, and we do not sell or share your data.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Calorie and nutrition values are AI estimates for general reference only and are not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional for dietary or medical decisions.
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted in the app or this page.
